Rome Meeting to be held on 30 June 2004, Rome, Italy

The Rome Meeting focussed on Integration Systems and Web Ontologies.

The VirGIS integration system, Omar Boucelma, Universite' d'Aix-Marseille, France

Sascha Ossowski gave the following report about the meeting at the plenary session.

The meeting higlighted the following hot topics in the area of agents and information systems that will be pursued on the road to next TFG meeting:

• agents for automatic negotiation: automatic negotiation is perceived as a strategic activity for systems which aim at managing ontologies (as in MaFRA presented by Nuno Silva) or integrate data sources (as in RACING presented by Vadim Ermolayev and SEWASIE presented by Sonia Bergamaschi)
• ontology mapping as demonstrated by MaFRA by Nuno Silva
• agents in data mining
